Hey Girlie!

Another birthday with tears of sadness shed rather than the tears of happiness that streamed down my face when I first saw you 24 years ago. I still remember some of the outfits I bought for you before you were even born and the gifts I gave you for your birthdays and just because I loved spoiling you. I miss you all the time. My heart aches for you. I love you sweetie.

Girlie Girl

Six years ago tonight our world collapsed. So many of us are still shattered and will never be completely whole. You remain in our hearts and souls. I love you Alyssa.

Hi Girlie Girl,

How many years ago did I first begin calling you that? I remember calling you "girlie" when you first started using the telephone! So many memories that I hold dear to my heart; wishing so much that I could share them with you. I wanted to make memories for you and now they are only mine. How unfair is that?

Your life was short, but your impact has been huge. So many people are still saddened by your loss and remember you for the wonderful, bright, vivacious, person that you were.

I love you today and forever Alyssa, my first born niece; you made my auntie heart sing!!

With lots of love,
Auntie
