Jim and I were friends since Jr High School. After High school we went into the service and did not see or hear from each other till June of this year. I was in CT for a couple of days and through Facebook I had arranged to meet a couple of friends for lunch at Cappies. I was so surprised when I saw him. It was so nice to catch up. He was a good friend and wonderful person. I was so sorry to hear of hie passing. I know he will be missed by many. RIP Jim.

I worked with Jimmy at the Labor Dept. in the early to mid 70's. We had many good times together. At our fondue (70's) parties he would make fried dough, and he made a great cold tomato salad which I still make they way he showed me.
We lost touch for about 30 years, but about 6 months ago I tracked him down and called one day, because like everyone else, I loved this guy, how could you not?
Christina, your Dad spoke lovingly and at length about you.
Despite his physical problems, he was still the joyful happy man I had known.

We reminisced, caught up and laughed, we spoke for well over an hour.
Toward the end of our conversation he told me how helpful the call was to him, as his brother had died the week before and he had been in a funk. that's when I knew that a higher power had made me get off my butt and call.

We vowed to get together for lunch.
We didn't, it's too late,...... but his laugh and voice remain with me.
Moral of this long story--go out to lunch, if you can't , at least call those people you have known and loved and lost touch with.
Christina if and when you would like to be bored with more stories of old men when they were young, feel free to call me at 860-645-0550.

I'm sorry I cannot attend the mass, Wednesday is the one day of the week I work.

Jamie was so well LOVED by so many of us! He had a Heart of Gold, thoughtful, generous, a talent for music and baked the biggest & best Birthday cakes ever! We will miss you dearly!

Was very sorry to read of your loss. He was a good guy. Last time we saw him was at the Cape in the Christmas tree shop. Hope all is well otherwise, Jill and Melissa.
