Deepest sympathies to the Picone family for your loss of JJosephine. I worked along with her for many years at SFH to attend to the needs of our patients . She in the XRay dept and I in Nursing. Many fond memories of shifts we worked together. She was always a caring dedicated professional . She will be truly missed. Fondly. Jeanne Roush BSN

Dear Joe and Ellen and the Picone family,

I only met your mother a few times and each time I think of her, it is with a big smile. The first was The Chester Road Race (100 degrees) in July and she was such a great sport in that heat, sitting with me on the rocks in the stream behind Ellen's cottage... climbing down that embankment was an interesting challenge , getting back up was even more daunting. Standing in line for pastries at Mozzicato's on Franklin Avenue, your mother knew her sweets and willingly shared her favorites. And of course, joining in with the Picone family's "Dancing Queens" on the dance floor at Ellen's 50th birthday celebration.

I did not know her well, but I know her son Joe and there are few better men in this world than Joe Picone. A person like Joe realizes their full potential partly due to an outstanding family and someone like his mother who was so consistently kind and good, thought-worthy and cherished him. It is little wonder that Joe chose Ellen and so fortunate that they have one another at this very sad time.

As a close friend of Mrs. Picone's nephew, Mark Trocchi, who so loved his dear aunt, I send my heartfelt condolences and prayers for our sister, Josephine, and all her family. RIP. Steve Cady

It has been many years since I worked in Admissions at St. Francis but will always remember Jo for the kind and pleasant person she was. It takes a special person to work in the emergency room and Jo was perfectly suited for her work. She put even the sickest person at ease with her calm and fiendly personality. I will always remember that special smile. My sincere condolences to her family.
