Katherine Pizzo Obituary
Katherine "Kathi" (LaCava) Pizzo, of Glastonbury, beloved wife for 30 years of Jonathan M. Pizzo, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon May 30, 2016. Born in Hartford, CT on March 24, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Constance (Ouellette) LaCava. Kathi worked for Aetna Insurance for twelve years before leaving for the more challenging position of full time mom and raising her four children. She will always be remembered as an easygoing, selfless person who went out of her way to bring happiness to family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and is survived by four children; Jonathan of Brooklyn, NY, Jillian of Middletown, and Rachel and Michael both of Glastonbury. Kathi is also survived by brother, Dominic LaCava and his wife Julie, of West Hartford and their children; Sara, Joseph and Amy, her aunt Mary Lou Fritzson of Marlborough, her aunt and uncle, Beverly and John Triblets of Glastonbury, and her four cousins, Ricky Fritzson, Donna Alatakis, Debbie Forgione, and Joanna Pace. The Pizzo family will receive relatives and friends at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday, June 2, from 4-7pm. The funeral procession from the funeral home will be Friday, June 3, at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial for Kathi at 10am in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd, Glastonbury. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery (Section T), 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.

I worked with Kathi at Aetna, many years ago. She was a delightful young woman with a sunny disposition. Her family was her number one priority. My sincere sympathy to those that she loved, who will have a difficult time with this sad loss, which was all too soon.
