As a new neighbor in 1961, I met Larry as I walked by his house. I was a junior at the Academy and struggling with Algebra and Geometry. He introduced me to sundials and successfully coached me through my math maladies. He was also an amature photographer and got me hooked on developing my own pictures. I shall never forget his patience and calm demeanor for it made a big difference in my life. Thanks to him I passed my college boards and moved on to Ohio and Wisconsin after high school. After reading his obituary I learned that he and I shared an interest in writing. I look forward to reading his Sundials and Geography book and shall forever cherish my association and friendship with Larry and his family. I am only one of many, I am sure, but I hope his family finds peace knowing that he was a man who made a difference in the lives of his students. I share your sorrow.
Sincerely,
