To the Brennan family,
For years, I'd been planning to write Larry a note about how his Spanish classes at Conard influenced my life. Since the summer Spain trip in 1986, my love of Spanish language and culture has impacted most things I do.
Although I was too slow to get my letter to him in time, I want your hearts to be warmed knowing that one person can change a life, and he did. Little did I know at age 16 what a lasting impression he would leave.
With thanks and love,
Sarah Nickerson

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Brennan and condolences to his family. I had him for 2 of 3 years of Spanish, class of 1966. I was a C student and he always said I could do better. However, what he taught me enabled me to pass a foreign language equivalency exam in college which allowed me to take other courses. I still use some Spanish in volunteer work at our local food pantry.
Descanse en Paz, Amigo.

DEAR CHRISTINE AND AND FAMILY,

IT WAS SAD TO READ OF LARRY'S PASSING IN THE HARTFORD COURANT OF PARKINSON'S DISEASE. HE WAS A DEDICATED TEACHER AND TOUCHED SO MANY LIVES. HIS OTHER INTERESTS WERE MANY AS WELL.

YOU WILL MISS HIM A GREAT DEAL HOWEVER TO LIVE IN HEARTS ONE LEAVES BEHIND IS NOT TO DIE. LARRY WILL LIVE ON IN THE HEARTS OF FAMILY AND HIS MANY FRIENDS ALWAYS.

WITH SINCERE SYMPATHY,

GLADYS DUNN

Dear Brennan family, I am very sorry to hear of the señor's passing; my deepest sympathies. My classes with him had a profound impact on my life; I truly would not be where I am today without his teaching and encouragement.
