Barbara and I are saddened to learn of the passing of our long-time friend. We remember her remarkable strength and spirit, and her zeal for adventure. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and especially to dear Joe, who, despite the passage of many years, has kept in touch, making us aware of the health challenges they bravely faced together in recent years. As we grieve our loss we are thankful for all the happy memories, many captured in the photo albums lining our shelves. We were neighbours on Hurdle Fence. We shared wonderful times together back in the Eighties travelling through Europe, Asia, and Africa. Now we offer our heartfelt condolences to Joe and the family. We know he will count on his faith in the days ahead.

Dear Mr.Biernat,

A Golden Heart stopped beating is one the many beautiful memories that came to mind as I think back to Lillian and you at the Club.

The kindness she showed to people never went unnoticed by me.

You both represented every thing that is special about Club life which Mrs. Biernat could easily accomplish.

May your heart find comfort in her treasured smile and your memories be your keepsake.

my sincere condolences to you Mr. Joe Biernat. Not sure if you remember me, but you folks sat behind me at St. Joseph's Church in Willimantic. I will never forget Lillian. She was the best dresser and always looked wonderful in red. My heart goes out to you and your family. I am going to miss her even though our time was short. Sincerely, Winnie Jackson
