Matt and I met prior to him being saved.Once he was saved and trusted Christ as his Savior, he became a man where Christ became the center of his life.
He left all to serve our lord half way around the world . He humbled me in my walk with Christ. I loved him and will miss him.
My wife and I are in Canada and can not attend the services in his memory but we are walking in the Walk for Bladder Cancer in his memory In Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday morning , the day of the service.
Anyone wanting to contribute to this bladder cancer research campaign in Matt's name can get in contact with me through Westfield EF Church In Westfield, Ma or Walk for Bladder Cancer Research, Toronto , Canada.
My wife Patricia and I will be praying for his family healing for the length of the walk He will be missed..
Thank you Matt for being my friend and save me a mansion not too far from you.

I will miss Matt a lot. He was a great engineer a person of faith, and gave of himself. I will miss is jolly soul. I feel very privileged to have known him, worked with him, learned from him, laughed with him and served in the Coast Guard Auxiliary with him.

Matt had a great heart. His love for the Lord and for his fellow man was evident every day. He always had a cheerful greeting and was ready to jump in and serve wherever needed. Here in Papua New Guinea, he looked for opportunities to serve others. Besides his job that helped so many, he often volunteered for extra projects. A couple favorites that come to mind were his help with digging new outhouses and building a gate for a local school.

On Independence Day, Matt was a favorite of all the kids as he pulled them in his "train". Matt was only here a short time, but he made a huge impact on all of us. We will miss him, but we rejoice that he is now with his Creator.
