Very sorry to hear of Milan's passing. He was a gentleman in the Soccer boardroom and always showed how much he loved the kids.

I was particularly impressed by his care for the TOPSoccer athletes. He has raised the bar for all of us.

A kind man, a brilliant person, a gentle soul.

My sincere condolences.

Michael Galbicsek
Vice President-West Haven Youth Soccer
Former CJSA Director of Recreational Services

Fantastic, strong man. I shall miss him deeply. A great friend of the family.

I first knew Milan as my soccer coach in the summer of 1979. He took a team that had a hard time winning a game and made us into champions. He had faith in his players and inspired us to be great. He then asked us to give back to the game of soccer by becoming coaches and several of us did just that. He was a great coach, a great inspiration and a great American.

I first met Milan when working with him on parts of the Connecticut River Ecological Study (revisited). I had many interactions with him while doing other scientific work related to the Niantic River, and the Long Island Sound Study Science and Technical Advisory Committee. I particularly always looked forward to discussions we would have on the ferry ride to Long Island for those meetings. No matter what, he would always want to know what I was doing and had a genuine interest in the work of all of his colleagues. As Carmela pointed out, we will miss his unique Scientific perspective and demeanor toward others.
