My prayers to the family
November 24, 2017
Beverly, Carmela, Briahna and the rest of the Martin Family I am sadden to hear of the loss of your father/ grandfather. It was just a few weeks ago when I saw him walking while on my way home and I teased him about getting in his exercise. I would always see him periodically taking short walks around the neighborhood and still picking up trash he sees along the way in his attempt to keep the neighborhood clean (what a true soldier).

I can also still picture Mr. Martin driving around in his green truck. When my sons and I first moved into the neighborhood, I will never forget one afternoon while I was in working in the yard, Mr. Martin came over with some veggies from his garden and said here's some vegetables for you and those boys. I couldn't help but chuckle at the way he said those boys and I just knew your sweet mother had something to do with that as well. Or the time Mrs. Martin sent over a yummy sweet potato pie for me and my sons for the holidays.

There is a quote that states You may not remember what someone says to you, but you will remember how they made you feel and I will never forget the kindness I felt from both your parents/grandparents and I am sure you all have your special memories as well. Rest in Peace Mr. Martin and I am sure your sweet heart will be glad to see you once again.

May you all bring solace to one another by sharing all your memories and keep those memories in your hearts and mind to pull out when you feel the need.

Blessings!
