Mrs. Forbes was a super nice lady I had her for my college counseling at Kingswood Oxford. Very sad to hear of her passing but what a remarkable human being.

The gentle kindness given to her students was like water to the parched earth. I can still see her smile and hear her laugh. Mrs. Forbes touched my life, and the lives of others who have told me, in ways great and small. I never heard, and never saw, anything but genuine regard and respect for everyone. I regret not telling her this in person. She was beautiful through and through.

As my senior English teacher and class advisor, she embodied 'grace under pressure". I can't say how many times I have used that phrase since. Fun to know that she also taught at my mother's school - Foxcroft- and her sister's school - Madeira (not while they were there, of course. They had to learn GUP from me)! I think of her when I am standing in front of a class. Thank you, Mrs. Forbes!
