Muriel O. Prisloe, 96, of Bristol, beloved wife of the late John Prisloe, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Muriel was born in Pequabuck, daughter of the late James Peter and Mary (Vivatoski) Olie. A resident of Bristol most of her life, she was a dedicated full time home maker and a member of St. Gregory the Great Church where she actively volunteered at the library. Her greatest joy came from raising her children and fostering a loving, positive outlook on life that will live on as part of her legacy. Muriel is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Mark Prisloe of West Hartford, Marilyn Boyko and her husband Bruce of Bristol, Susan Underwood and her husband, Mitchell of Plainville, David Prisloe of Bristol, Carol Ferro and her husband, Joseph of West Newbury MA, Gregory Prisloe of Southington, Paul Prisloe of Burlington; and her precious grandchildren, Jeffrey Ferro, Nicholas Ferro and his wife Stacey, Anthony Ferro, Allison, Dana, and Haley Prisloe, Dr. Mitchell Underwood III, Kristin (Boyko) Ruggiero and her husband John; caregiver Abena Adomah, a niece and several nephews and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her two sisters, Gloria Elliott and Viola Masters, her brother James Olie, and her loving granddaughter Laurel Underwood. Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave, Bristol from 5 PM until 7 PM. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at O'Brien Funeral Home for a procession to St. Gregory Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am.
