Goldie graduated from Hartford High School in 1950. Goldie was first and foremost a wife and mother. Being a mother meant more to Goldie than anything in the world. Goldie was a strong, loving woman. Goldie enjoyed her weekly Mah Jong games with friends and was always excited when she won. Goldie was a life member of Hadassah, ORT and Jewish Women International. Roman and Goldie were lifetime members of Temple Beth Hillel of South Windsor CT, and were members of the Emanuel Synagogue of West Hartford. Goldie is survived by her daughters Frieda Luftglas, Elaine Levison and her husband Art, son-in-law Steve Barshay and his wife Janice, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of 64 years Roman Luftglas (2017), daughter Sharon Luftglas Barshay (1987), and sister Bernice Schwarz (2013). The one message that Goldie wants to share is to treat people with kindness and respect.
