Sandra Veronica Forde, 58, of Hartford CT, departed peacefully Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at The Hospital for Central Connecticut with her family by her side. Sandra was born in Barbados, West Indies. She was the daughter of Sheila Springer and the late Whitfield Clarke. Graduate of New Britain High School class of 1980. She later attended both Greater Hartford Community College and The University of New Haven. Sandra was a paraprofessional with the New Britain Board of Education for the last 11 years. She previously worked at Cigna Healthcare for 17 years. Sandra leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband Terry Forde of Hartford, CT. Three daughters Alyssa Forde, N'dea Forde both of New Britain, CT & Kaylah Forde of Hartford, CT. Her mother Sheila Springer of Barbados, WI; Her sisters Janice Springer of Barbados, WI, Kaye & Nnabugwu Gogoh of Bronx, NY, Lisa Clarke of North Carolina; special family members Maxean Bowen, Jacqueline Brathwaite, Aldean Brathwaite, Vanessa Wallace, as well as a host of nieces, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her sister Joycelyn Clarke of NY. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that in honor of Sandra's dedication to the "Feed The Need" ministry donations be made to the GoFundMe account at https://www.gofundme.com/in-memory-of-sis-sandra-forde .These monies will be donated to the ministry in her name. Services will be held at Bethesda Apostolic Church, 249 Stanley Street, New Britain CT on Saturday, June 16th, 2018. Calling hours at 9am and the funeral will begin at 10:30am. Committal service and final resting place will be Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain, CT. Service of Comfort and Compassion provided by the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT.
