This former student remembers Mr. Hebert with great fondness and gratitude.

Your dad was a very smart man whose patience was tested by the likes of those he taught who did not share his passion for math. I am grateful for his no-nonsense approach as it prepared me well for my further education. I enjoyed reading your lovely tribute to your dad and learning how he happily spent his retirement years. I especially liked the crossword puzzles done in pen part. My dad Clarence Murdock served on the school board in Region 10 and knew your dad in that capacity. He passed away in April and was famous for doing sudoku puzzles in pen as well. Tough old birds, those men born in 1929! I wish you peace and healing through love and fond memories.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy, my thoughts and prayers are with you. During this difficult time you can pour out your heart to God in prayer. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain you. ~ Isaiah 61:1, 2
