LUCILLE PEARL ADKINS VOLLMUTH, 98, of Wayne, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. She was born October 20, 1920, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Irvin and Maudie Warf Adkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Vollmuth; three sisters, Reba, Izel and Lona; and five brothers, A.J., Carson, Cecil, Clifford and Clinton. Lucille graduated from Wayne High School in 1940. She was a retired employee of General Motors in Columbus, Ohio, with 30 years of service. She is survived by her brother, Curtis Adkins (Erma Lee) of Huntington; a special great-niece, Estelle Skeens; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Wayne Nursing and Rehab for their loving care and kindness during Lucille's stay. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Emual Adkins. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Burial will be held at a later date. To Lucille's brother and family, I send my condolences. She was a wonderful friend to my mother, Violet, with whom she worked at G.M. and who was also from Wayne. A sweet lady I knew all my life.
