Just heard on the air this morning from one of my Garden Show listeners about the passing of this very special man. Sadness doesn't even begin to express how I feel. I've been a customer since 1974 and will always be. Seeing and talking to Benny in the store was always a treat with all his cheerful expressions and advice. He was an inspiration to all and the anchor of a great family business carried on in his honor.
To his entire large family I extend my sincerest and deepest sympathy.

GOD Bless Ben Laurenzo and may he rest in Peace. We will all see you again in due time Ben.

I have been coming to Laurenzos for over 50 years, I started coming with my Grandfather and have continued ever since. I enjoyed talking to Mr. Laurenzo, he always took the time to say hello and remember the old days and all the characters who used to come in to the store. I will always smile when I think of him telling me to keep eating the eggplant, it will make you grow taller! So glad I got to see him last week and say hello and ultimately goodbye as well. A great man who lived a wonderful life, was kind, compassionate and also funny. Deepest condolences to David and family, take solace in knowing your dad lived a long and wonderful life and his memory will shine on. R.I.P. Mr. Laurenzo , you have earned your rightful place in Heaven..

May you hold dear the memories of your loved one and may they bring a smile to your face. Hoping the one true God brings you comfort and hope to your heart. Matthew 5:4

We will miss seeing his happy face at the market.

I will forever remember your kind, kidding, and generous ways. My office kinda looks like yours Uncle Ben. You taught me what it meant to work hard and eat well. I miss our picnics. You are already missed and have always fondly remembered as wonderful person I aspire to be more like. Please give Aunt Millie a kiss for me and a hug to my Grandpa Ted. All my love until we meet again.
