I was saddened to hear of the Grant family's loss. I have not been in touch with anyone from school over the past 30 years... Grant and I first met--as dorky as it sounds--when we were both on the school safety patrol (in what...? 7th grade?)... :) Wow... it seems like a different life. The world has certainly changed (not for the better) and Grant is better off than any of us still here below... it is just that we do not realize it. Yet, while we await Christ's return, as hard as life can be many times, we must be faithful to continue on doing what we know is right, trusting that the Father knows what is best and has planned every last detail of our lives (though at times, they are painful, each trial is only intended for our good--as hard as it is to accept). It has been several years since Grant has passed (I just found this notice while looking for Todd Kilpatrick and I saw his posting here). May God continue to supply the grace for Grant's family to carry on in his absence, until they are reunited one day in the Kingdom. Robert Alan Balaicius (

My family was saddened to hear of Grant's passing. We moved from the neighborhod shortly after he passed, but I fondly remember his radio station and the sense of fun it brought to living in Twin Lakes. Our hearts go out to the Porter family, and we hope that they can draw strength from happier memories during this holiday season.

Dear Cheryl & Ben
You guys have been in my thoughts. I saved the message from Grant and I just can't seem to erase it. Every time I hear his voice, it brings a smile to my face, remembering the fun we had at Disney & DC. He was an awesome guy and I know why God wants him up there with him. We are here for you, whenever you need us.

We have all been beaten to near death emotionally by the sudden and unexpected passing of DJ Radio Jack. Mankind has suffered a tragic loss, if more people had his zest and outlook on life the world would truly be a more wonderful and wondrous place.

As it was well said by DJ Diabolique, "Things will never be the same"

R.I.P my dearest friend, I will always love and remember you as my brother.
