I enjoyed working with Lee. I met him when I was a rookie, in the early 80's. He spent many years in Internal Affairs where he garnered a wealth of valuable information, which he shared with others coming up in the Department. Later in the 2000's, I had the pleasure of being his lieutenant and he was my A/Lt. I looked forward to going to work and in part it was due to Lee's great sense of humor. You'll be sorely missed as you were genuinely one of the good guys.

I love you Dad with all my heart. I miss you. You will be in my heart everyday for as long as I live. I hope I can continue to make you proud. And pray that you always will guide and protect Mom and I, from Heaven, as you always did on earth. Thank you for being my hero and my Father.

My deepest sympathies. May the God of all comfort strengthen the entire family during this time of sorrow. Keep in mind that God keeps in his memory those whom we lose because they are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15)

Lee was very special to us, as is his family. We knew when we first met him that he didn't always reveal his humor and opinions to everyone and we felt honored that he was comfortable enough to allow us to get to know his keen mind and dry humor. More important we shared a mutual respect and trust which allowed him to share wonderful stories with us about his time as a Miami-Dade Police Officer. He will be very missed and always remembered as a dear friend. Carol and Tim, there are no words that will ease the sense of loss you are feeling now but know you have our deepest sympathy and are in our thoughts. While we won't be able to be at the memorial service, you will both be in our thoughts and prayers and we will be here as your friends always.

Lee was my first FTO and we remained friends through our time on the department. We worked together for many years in the North District and later at the Training Bureau. Truly a wonderful person and great cop. Barbara and I send our sympathies to Carol and Tim. RIP my friend.
