Thinking of you, Billie Boy. I've been reading all the incredible and remarkable accomplishments your mother achieved and the warm and loving wishes from everyone who's life she touched. She was truly blessed as well as her loving family. Lovingly, Valerie & Frankie

My deepest condolences to the Utanski family. I worked with Alex and Mina during the 70's and 80's, and knew I was working with some very special people. I felt Mina made me part of her family with the many interesting stories of their experiences. God bless you and your family.

I do not believe I have ever read a more touching and heartfelt tribute as the one written here for this lovely lady. What an amazing life she had, even having gone through the ultimate hell of what she and her family endured at the hands of pure evil. God bless all those she left behind. Someone like the woman described here will be missed very much! My most heartfelt condolences.

I was very fortunate to spend some time and represent Mina and Alex Utanski for approximately 15 years during Alex and Mina's lifetime. When I read Mina's obituary I felt that someone cheated me out of more time that I could have spent with them based upon the interesting parts of their life that was reflected in the obituary. From my own personal experience I enjoyed being with them as they were both very interesting and extremely sweet, cordial and kind individuals. It will not be difficult for me to remember them in the years that I have left in my life but I was very happy and fortunate to be a part of their lives, handling some of their affairs and preparing their legal documents. I will miss them both.

One of the blessings of being a healthcare provider is the opportunity to meet so many special people. For me, at the top of my list after practicing medicine for 30 years, sits Mina. A kind beautiful loving and strong soul that I was fortunate enough to have known for over a decade. I will always remember her glowing smile that blessed me regardless of the pain she was in. To give to me energetically when she was the one that needed to be given to was the Mina that I knew, kind and selfless. I will miss our lengthy conversations. She taught me much, particularly about perseverance in life. Years ago as I we would speak about the holocaust, I presumed it was something she did with many. It wasn't until years later when she was at my office with her son that I came to realize she shared these stories and lessons with me, openly and freely, some of which her son later told me he had never heard. I then realized how fortunate I was to have her impart these lessons to me through her stories answering each and every question I had. One which I will never forget and one which I have told to others involved if and how a survivor could ever forgive a former soldier or guard. Was it necessary to do so or perhaps never to do so, something only a survivor could truly understand. From my perspective I wasn't sure I could ever forgive them after watching them destroy my home and love ones. Mina's response, she said "well you know there were many days when I was in the camp that I would see a loan soldier lying on the ground dead, with his pistol in his hand". She explained that many took their own lives as they couldn't handle what they were being forced to do. From her perspective, of course she could forgive some. I will miss seeing Mina's incredible smile in my exam room but I will always keep a part of her with me as I was blessed to have known her and cared form her.
