Elizabeth Mims Obituary

MIMS, ELIZABETH ANN HAMILTON, 97, After a short illness, surrounded by her family, Ann went home to her lord on November 7, 2017. She was born in Augusta, Georgia on April 4, 1920, to Mittie Lou and W. LeRoy Hamilton. After she moved to Miami in 1938, she met and married Robert N. Mims who predeceased her in 2007. Ann was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who will be greatly missed. Survivors include daughters Martha Stobs and Robin Cross (Randy); grand-children Gerry Neidig (Jymi), Susan Wesley, Carey Arbuckle (Chris), Jimmy Stobs (Carrie), Chris Stobs (Melissa), Laura Stevenson (Nathan), and Julie Malotte; great-grand-children Jake, Josh and Jonah Neidig, Meghan and Owen Wesley, Adam, Annie and Alyssa Arbuckle, Leila Stobs and Tristan and Dawson Stevenson; sister Louise Tatum, many nieces and nephews, the loving staff and friends at Bay Oaks and special friend, Pearl. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Americus, Georgia. Memorial contributions may be made to Bay Oaks Retirement Home or the Humane Society.
