ECTOR - Billy Harris Waggoner, 83, died peacefully Friday, December 22, 2017, surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 60 years, Iverna Lois (Wilson); sister Linda Susan and her husband Robert Zimmerman; son Troy Dale Waggoner and his wife Tammy (Stowe); daughter Karen (Jan) Waggoner and her fiancée Dawn Birch; grandchildren Lindsay Waggoner, Leah (Waggoner) Roberts and her husband Josh, Scott Norwood and his wife Tabitha, and Dan Hill; many grandchildren and friends.
Billy was born May 2, 1934 in Wills Point, Texas to Virgil Milton and Martha Doris (Harris) Waggoner.
In his early years, he worked on a cattle ranch, rode bareback and roped calf's in local rodeos. In 1953, he joined the Army and served in Korea as a corporal. He met Iverna Lois Wilson in 1957 and they married 4 short months later on August 3, 1957.
Billy was a lifelong rancher with a passion for fishing and everything farm related from hogs to cattle and horses. He loved to barbecue and cook fish with family and friends.
A memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in memorandum can be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or Carson Cemetery.

So very sorry to hear of Billy's passing. If I can do anything for you Tittle and family please let me know. I always think of him making that gooey white divinity candy at holidays!! Aunt Vernie always made such a fuss over it and said it was the best she ever tasted!! I love you both and have many happy memories of you both at Aunt Vernies!! Prayers for strength and I know your love and memories will get you through all this sadness!!
