Hello Sam, Jack & Poppy
I was looking back on an email I'd received from Graham and visited the website and see he passed in July.
I am saddened at your loss and give you our sincere condolences, you will miss him greatly.
He certainly brought an awareness and inspiration to many and has made a difference which must be a comfort to you all.
Kindest regards Carol & John Mayon. Qld

Dear Sam, Jack and Poppy,
Although I never met Graham, I just wanted you to know what an inspiration you've all been to me as you've travelled this sometimes tortuous path together. Graham's tenacity and will to go on living has amazed me at times, considering the unspoken pain he must often have suffered. I thank Graham - and you guys - for making me a better person for having, however briefly, known you. Sleep peacefully Graham.

Dear Sam, I wish I had the opportunity to meet Graham instead of getting to know him through his struggles and pictures. Yet, the words and pictures you all chose lets me know that heaven has another member. Hopefully, I will be fortunate enough to meet him on the other side. Life is just too short and I cringe to think of leaving behind so much love and memories unmade. Please know that I know that we will become lifelong friends as we try to make sure that people like your husband and my daughter have an opportunity to live a long and cancer-free life because of the things that both of them endured for the betterment of mankind.

Be blessed forever and a day,
Tedd Collins

Dear Sam Jack and Poppy

I did not know you or your family but have followed your journey closely after reading your story in the local paper.
I lost my brother in law several years ago when diagnosed with AML. He lost his battle 6 weeks after diagnosis and fought to his last breath.
To think Graham fought for so long and kept bouncing back to me was a miracle knowing just how bad the treatment was yet he was still up for the next lot, what a brave and lovely man.
As for you Sam I spoke to you regarding a garage sale to raise money for the appeal and here I found a young woman with such strength compassion and sincerity who was prepared to fight for her man and children whatever it took.

Good on you and as they say "If Love could have saved him he never would have died."
God Bless you and your lovely children.

There are no words which can help you in this time as every person is filled with 'sorrow.' I am only 23, and I did not have the privelege in knowing Graham; a father, a husband, a son, a friend! However, what I do know is that my father has introduced your family into our lives. I am not sure if it is because we have suffered many a loss, and we tried so very hard to make things right within our own lives. We have lost many close one's to cancer and accidents and death. However, we live on; we love; we pray; we care; we carry his legacy with us; his spirit will be with us always and he will ensure that we continue to live our lives to the fullest and use our potential to its greatest. I am so very sorry for your loss, and I know that it has affected my father greatly. My father is only young, however we have endured many sudden losses, of those who were babies and those who were older, and never ever does it get any easier. I believe that Graham has helped my father in his healing, and I believe that my father took great joy in assisting as much as he could. As he knew the pain, the love and the strength that a family has to endure whilst supporting the one's they love in the time of need. Graham is a hero, and a lovely man who seemed like a truely fantastic father, husband, friend and hero.

I guess, I just wanted to tell you how sad I am to learn of this tragedy, and if there is anything that a young girl such as myself should learn; it is that we should never give up. No matter now many tragic circumstances come before us. I have loved many whose lives have been cut short; even before adulthood, however I really do believe that god needed them for something bigger. They will always look over you, take care of you, love you and will always guide you.

If there is anything at all you need; please don't hesitate to contact us at pdgd1@optusnet.com.au. Our family will do out utmost to help you and your family through this terribly difficult time.

All our love,

the Gaukrodgers

Dear Samantha, Jake and Poppy.

Although we never knew Graham, we were truly saddened to hear of his passing. We are sure his spirit will always be with you. Samantha, you have done an amazing job of providing updates to everyone who has tried to help - which must have been very difficult when you had so much to deal with already. We are sure that your lives will go on to make Graham proud and live up to the hopes and dreams he must have had for you all. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you the best of luck moving forward.

Sam, Jack and Poppy,
We were so sad to hear the news about Graham. He fought such a strong and dignified battle against his disease. We are so sorry that it finally overcame him. I have some great memories of Graham over the years, following Red Road around to various gigs and all the fun we had, usually back at Helen & Iain's afterwards. He was a kind, gentle soul and the only Cheap Trick fan I've ever met!
He lives on in many people's memories and I hope your memories help to bring you some comfort in your loss.
Lots of love
