I am reading her latest book, "Understanding and Loving a Person with Depression" co-authored by Stephen Arterburn who recently stated that Brenda told him this book was what she was born to do. She provides an insightful, deeply personal, and refreshingly hope filled discussion on depression...may her life and legacy live on for generations to follow...love and prayers to her dear family and friends.

I was so sad to hear about Brenda's sudden passing. She was an amazing woman who blended the perfect mix of accomplished professional with tender and loving mother. Her book Home by Choice had a profound impact on my life when I was a young mother. Having excelled to the position of partner in my law firm, motherhood was not about to keep me at home. However, a move and Brenda's book worked on my heart to help me see that God wanted me to be a stay-at-home mother. Brenda's words had a profound impact on my heart and mind, as she presented a view of motherhood I had never considered. To my delight, 20 years later Brenda moved to Chapel Hill, just 30 minutes down the road from me, and I was privileged and blessed to meet her in person and become friends with this amazing woman. She was a mentor to all young mothers who want to raise Godly men and women. I will miss her, but her legacy and her influence live on in her books. Praising God she is Home!
