What can I say about Helen "B"? Let me start with the fact that I knew Helen my whole life. For eight years of my childhood, I grew up next door to her. When I moved away from Durham, I always made it a point to visit Helen and Bill upon returning home.

For all the times we shared, "Christmas on Crestview" is what comes to mind first. A beaten path was woven between those driveways, as our families shared the holidays together. If it wasn't Helen calling Barry home from our house, it was Mom calling me from theirs. THAT was Christmas. Even as I chose my Christmas cards each year, I thought of which one Helen would probably like the most and visualized her face lighting up upon receiving it from afar.

Helen was a role model in grace, class, beauty, and wonderful conversation. I never tired of visiting her and Bill, as we talked for hours on end.

Helen will be missed by many and remembered for what she gave to all. I'm sure she is smiling upon those she loved and loved her, knowing that she will see them in a future time.

We are all blessed to have known her, and I was blessed to have shared so much of my life with her. A special lady, indeed!
