Jennie Ellis Adcock, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center in Durham. She was born in Durham, the daughter of the late Luther and Callie Roberts Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her first and second husband, James Herron and Melvin Adcock; and daughter, Sandra Mertz.
Ms. Adcock is survived by son, Ricky Herron (Joy); sisters, Marie Paschall, Elaine Medlin; brother, Charles "Cat" Ellis; grandson, Billy Mertz (Rachel); and step-grandsons, Keith Johnson (Lisa), Dennis Johnson (Lisa).
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, October 6th at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. A graveside service will be held atj 1 AM on Saturday, October 7th at Riverview United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Conner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Riverview United Methodist Church: Orange Factory Road, Bahama, NC 27503
