Bill was a tremendous mentor and friend as I began my social studies teaching career at Ramstein. Through the years, we have conversed many times and his brilliant insights, light-hearted humor, and compassionate wisdom have remained an inspiration. We had planned to catch up "one day soon" as I am now returning to Florida, like he did, after 30 years away. Peace to the McGrath family and always know that Bill was respected and admired by those lucky enough to know him well. My most heartfelt condolences to you.

When I wintered in Bradenton I was very fortunate to meet Bill. Bill was funny, kind, gracious and so intelligent. He made people feel special and was there when you needed anything. How I will miss him as so many of us will! It will not be the same without Bill watching sunsets, walking the preserve and watching the birds he cherished. He will always be in our hearts and his spirit will guide us to love life like he did.

Our deepest sympathy to Bills family. He was truly a good neighbor, and we will miss the laughter and interesting conversations we shared.
