Horvath, Roland "Ron"

Ron was born in Passaic, N.J. and was raised in Chicago. He proudly served in The United States Marine Corps. He and his wife Sheila loved the water and moved their family to Marina Jack in Sarasota in 1973, where they first lived on "The Miss Kelly D" and then the "Surprise". Ron worked for J&J and Son Electric for many years, and in his later years for RE Johnson Electrical Contractor Inc. After he retired, he and his wife could be found enjoying themselves on a cruise ship, RV'ing, or spending time with their children and grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife, Sheila; his daughters, Kelly, Kimberly, Kerry,Yvette, and Yvonne; his son Ronnie; his brothers Lenny and Danny; his sister Vi; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Interment will be at The Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72 Sarasota, Fl. on April 8, 2021 at 2pm. Baldwin Brothers is in charge. A celebration of life will take place after the interment at 3115 51st in sarasota. Donations in his name can be made to The Manatee County Humane Society.
