Miller, Edna Mae

Edna Mae Miller, 87, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Wassaic, NY, passed away December 16, 2017. She was born on August 4, 1930 in Wellsville, NY to Herman & Laura Susan (Cramer) Kruger, and came to Sarasota nearly 30 years ago. Edna attended Scio Central School and Fredonia State University in NY. She retired as a music teacher from Webutuck Central School and the Wassaic Developmental Center in Amenia, NY after 30 years in education. Edna belonged to the Coterie, Singing Hollon Operetta Group, and the Poughkeepsie Chorus. She was a member of the South Amenia Presbyterian Church in NY, and a church member, choir member, choir director, and member of the Ladies Service Guild at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Sarasota. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard, son Paul, 3 brothers, and a sister, Edna is survived by her son David Miller (Lisa) of Sharon, CT, daughters Mary Fitzgerald of Bradenton & Martha Fitzgerald (John) of Sarasota, grandchildren Stephanie, Michael, Joshua, and David Paul, sister Mary Lou Burdick(Donald), and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Sarasota, and she will be laid to rest with her husband in the South Amenia Cemetery in Wassaic, NY. Edna's family requests memorial contributions be made to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Music Fund. To send condolences, please visit www.toalebrothers.com.
