I too, share fond memories of the years that I associated with Marge. I have admirable thoughts about Marge and her accomplishments in her private life, but especially her example of leadersip in the Dearborn Community. She was a dedicated member and President of City Council. I am proud to be one who helped with her elections.

As long as I can remember the Powell's have been in my life. I think of how close Marge and my mother were and how they always seemed to find something to laugh about. I think about the days at the cottage swimming, reading, playing cards and the nights signing by the campfire. I think of the New Year Eve get togethers and ice skating on the backyard rink John made. In adulthood, I saw how thoughtful and thought-filled Marge was. She was a giving person always looking for and finding ways to serve the community. I am thankful for having had Marge in my life. I truly loved her and she will forever be in my heart.

I knew Marge first in girl scouts. We had the largest troop in the area, and my daughter Laura and Connie became good friends. Then there were teas in various homes so women could get to know Marge and to get out the vote and we did get them to vote, she got more votes than any other and became Council President. It was my pleasure to have known Marge and she will be missed by many.

I was a neighbor of Marge and worked on a couple of election campaigns. She was always pleasant and friendly.

Curt, your mom sounds like an amazing woman, but I had already guessed that, because of you and your daughter.

I had the pleasure of working with Marge Powell on the AAUW Dearborn board and scholarship fundraising programs. She had a wonderful witty personality that I would call 'class without the sass'.
She was from Missouri---the Show Me State--- and reminded me somewhat of a female version of President Truman, who also was from Missouri. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. She will be missed.

In loving memory of a dear friend. I first met Marge as a friend that I met from church, Dearborn First Methodist Church of Dearborn. I then met her again as a member of PEO, Chapter CP in Dearborn. We talked often when she was living in Dearborn. As her health was failing, she moved to Ann Arbor to be closer to family. I missed seeing her at church and at our PEO meetings. I have missed visiting with her the past several years. Rest In Peace Dear Marge.
