FREDERICK BLACK, SR 79,a retired Police officer for the city of houston, passed away on July 21,2011,funeral services will be held @ 11:00am on Saturday July 30,2011 @ Jones Memorial United Methodist Church,2504 Almeda Genoa Rd @288 Visitation will be one hour prior to the farewell Celebration,Interment will be Private

Natalie, I am so very sorry to learn of Doug's passing. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. You have my heartfelt sympathy, may God continue to bless and keep you and your family. May you find comfort in your wonderful memories; I'm sure there are many.

Mrs. Black I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. I worked with you at Jackson Jr. High in the 1970s.

I worked with Freddie a number of years in the Robbery Division. He was a good investigator and family man. Your could depend on Det. Black to back you up when the going got rough. My prayers and thoughts are for him and his family
