Guadalupe Negrete Gonzalez was called home by our Lord on January 7, 2021. He was born on June 20, 1932. He lived in Houston's Fifth Ward.
He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. He was a Navy veteran and he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Gonzalez; siblings: Bernardina, Porfiria, Isidra, Ignacia, Regina, Maria del Rosario, Teresa, Agustin, Jose Natividad, and Frank.
He is survived by his wife Catherine; his children Eugene (Eugenia), Ercilia (José), Clara, Martin, and Guadalupe; his grandchildren Daniel, Gabriela, Francesca, Juan Carlos (Rebecca), Marisa (Christopher); great-grandchildren Sophia and Audrey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that contributions be directed to Holy Name Catholic Church 1917 Cochran Street Houston, TX 77009 in memory of Guadalupe N. Gonzalez.
The family will gather for a private memorial service.

A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
