John Rice Glauser
1947-2017
John Rice Glauser, longtime Houston dentist, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 30, 2017, following complications due to Alzheimer's Disease. John is survived by his wife, Monica; his son, Jack and wife Karly, and grandson Flynn; his son, Thomas; and his daughter, Elizabeth.
A native Houstonian, John attended St. Anne Catholic School, St. Thomas High School and the University of Texas Dental School. In addition to his family John leaves a host of friends, all of whom will miss his easy going manner and great sense of humor.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Michael Catholic School, 1833 Sage Road, Houston, Texas, 77056, or St. Thomas High School, 4500 Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, 77007, in memory of John.

Farewell John,
I never knew you personally, and I don'nt remember you being in any of my classes. I was in 9E, 10D, 11C, and 12D. I don'nt know what group you were in.I suppose we rubbed shoulders a time or two in those four years moving from class to class. I was very introverted back in those days. Nobody paid much attention to me.I was in the background.
But, I was a member of the student body,and I was present at all the War Eagles football games.You became a DDS in this life which is quite an accomplishment, and that is something to be proud of. You have passed on to eternity!
