Susan, Tricia, Marc and family, Lennie and I are so saddened to hear about Les. He and I had known each other since the days of our Youth Group, USY, at Congregation Beth Yeshurun (we were in our early teens). In the late 1990's we became reacquainted when he and Susan were shopping for a lamp while I was working for my brother... I recognized his voice before I saw his face. Susan reassured me that it was in fact Les. We kept in touch on Facebook then later through our wonderful phone conversations until it became difficult for him to speak. On occasion Lennie and I would drop by and bring him donuts. Lennie even took him to lunch a few times until it was Lennie's hearing loss that made it difficult for them to communicate.
We are so sorry that we missed the gathering you had in his honor, unfortunately we didn't find out about his passing until Monday, February 17th. (Thank you Marc R.). I know he would have been sad to have missed the donuts.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will miss the conversations we shared. He had such a World of Knowledge stored in that amazing brain of his.
And oh how he truly loved his family dearly and not a conversation would go by without a special Gabriel Story. You all were truly blessed to have Les in your lives. And so were we. Sincerely, Teri and Lennie Goldfield

Susan, very sorry for your loss. It is going to be difficult. But,, know that in time you will be able to function and smile again. Les is in a better place. Your fond memories of him will be cherished ones. Warmest regards, Olga Moya

Dear Susan and family,

My thoughts are with you during this difficult time and I am very sorry for your loss. It is never easy to let go of those we love. May you find comfort knowing he is at peace.

I remember Les even as a student, who brought me news and happenings of Peabody Conservatory, which became a part of his alma mater, Johns Hopkins. Les loved Baltimore, and would let me know about movies that featured our old town. My condolences and love to Susan and the family.
