Mildred (Wallace) Imler
1935-2021
Mildred Wallace Imler passed away March 14. Predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Donald Lee, parents James and Zera Wallace, sister Norma Jean McConnell, brother James Richard Wallace and her "adopted" daughter Sue Mott. She preceded in death her brother-in-law, Howell Clinton McConnell by only 9 days.
Mildred was born in Dallas, TX. She enjoyed golf, shooting craps, reading, her cats and family get-togethers. She especially enjoyed Christmas Eve dinners where the menu consisted of dishes she had never cooked before. With help from her sisters and daughters, the dinners were always a success.
Mildred is survived by her daughters Vickie and Brenda, special friend Sharon Hale, sister and brother-in-law Nancy & Eddy Ellis and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mildred was much loved by her family and friends, and is dearly missed.

I met Mildred in 1959 when she and her husband Don entertained me in their home. Over the years Mildred has shared stories of her family life in Houston with my late wife, Valerie, and I and I shall greatly miss the warmth of her friendship.

Mildred was a wonderful mother and friend! She always included anyone who needed a place to go at Christmas to her party!
