Norris Boynton
1938-2021
Norris, "Tooter", Pressley Boynton, 83, of Magnolia, Texas, entered the Kingdom of Heaven, Saturday,
February 13, 2021. Norris was born January 26, 1938, to Bernice Dan Teutsch and Robert Register Boynton, Sr., in Lufkin, Texas.
Norris grew up in Lufkin, Texas, a football athlete for the Panthers. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 during SAC, was honorably discharged and returned home to Lufkin to raise his three daughters and begin studies at Lamar University. Norris became a private aircraft pilot and flight instructor. He also used his skills from the military as a radio specialist to become an electronic computer hardware salesman, progressing to management of the sales force for the southeastern U.S., from which he retired.
Norris loved his family and friends. He started the first Boynton Family Reunions and "fish fries". For enjoyment, he loved going to the deer lease, hunting, and fishing. His faithful yellow Labrador, Boz, took every footstep with him there as well.
Norris, a great storyteller, an avid histor@n of Texas History and the Bible, was a good husband, father and grandfather who led his life by example through prayer and his faith. Norris is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kathryn Rose Fojtik Boynton, daughters, Kellie Marie Geitner, Jo Anna Lell and son-in-law, Joey Lell; grandchildren, Brittnie Marie Wiggins andThank Shan Schaefer, Derrick and Whitney Geitner, Amanda Marie McWilliams and James Wesley Lashbrook III. Great grandchildren, Adyn McWilliams, Ivy McWilliams and Serena McWilliams, Kennedy Marie Schaefer and Nash Hudnull. Brother-in-laws, James Fojtik and wife, Mary Katherine, and Thomas Fojtik and wife Deborah, sister-in-law, RoseAnn Jenkins Boynton. Numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends that Norris loved so very dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stacie Lee Boynton Hudson, brothers Robert Register Boynton, Jr, Dr. James Lester Boynton, and Amos Chapman Boynton; sister-in-laws, June Rose Boynton and Corrie Ann Boynton, son-in-law Erick Frances Geitner.
