James Joseph Trainor
1940-2017
James Joseph Trainor, age 77, of Tomball, passed away Dec. 1. He was born in Philadelphia in 1940, the son of Agnes and Leonard Trainor. He is survived by brothers Peter, John, and Leonard Jr. He is also survived by his wife of 53 years,Trudi, and children James Jr, of Dallas, Julia of Los Angeles, Adam of Tampa and 5 grandchildren.
He moved to Texas with his wife in 1971, where he worked as district sales manager for G.O. Carlson for many years. He helped launch youth soccer in South Texas, coaching the first girls teams in the Timberline Soccer Organization in the 70's and continued to coach and inspire into the 80's
A lover of the outdoors, Jim enjoyed fishing and hunting. Upon retiring in 2004 he traveled the world with his wife. His lifelong desires to see the Panama Canal, Ireland, Alaskan vistas and skydiving were fulfilled before his passing.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be held in Jan.
