Robert Walker Deeds
1931-2021
Robert W. Deeds of Cypress, Texas passed away on January 16, 2021. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 4, 1931 to the late Charles Edward and Marion Walker Deeds.
Robert moved with his family to Coffeyville, Kansas at an early age and graduated from Coffeyville High School. It was there that he met the love of his life, Marlene. Upon completion of his service in the United States Army, Robert and Marlene married. They moved to Houston, joining his brother Charles, sister-in-law Patricia and sister Joan, where Robert completed his B.A. degree at the University of Houston.
Robert was retired from a long and successful career in the insurance industry, however his two proudest accomplishments were his sons, Michael and Roger.
Robert was an avid reader, a lover of music and passionately followed current events. He relished getting together with family and friends as often as possible.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his son, Roger; his sister, Joan Deeds Henney and his brother, Charles Deeds.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-six years, Marlene Starts Deeds, son Michael, daughter-in-law Patricia, granddaughters Nicole Kane and Kimberly Hilton, four great-grandchildren and numerous and very special nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, funeral services will be private. A celebration of Robert's life will be held on a future date.
