Appreciated working as a millwright with him.
glad to help him farm 1997 while working in Sheboygan. Kidded him when I thought the mound on his farm was a clay volcano from long time ago. Wish I could have stayed near Valders but need to work, picked Iowa for what it had to offer.

Don used to come and visit our home many, many times since the early "70's. We used to discuss things of common interest to us. He impressed us as very intelligent. We will never forget him.

I remember Donald from the Niles country school, many years ago. He was in 8th grade and an august personage from my younger vantage point, but handsome, kind, and friendly to all. Our teacher was Marion Miley Johnson, who, herself, was very fond of Donald and his sister Grace.
