O'Leary, Karen A.
Karen A. O'Leary, age 72, a resident of the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center, entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the care center.
Karen was born on January 18, 1945 in Two Rivers. She was the daughter of the late Wilson and Adeline Boyer O'Leary. She attended Washington High School in Two Rivers. Karen owned and operated Cookies Restaurant and Karen's Kitchen both in Manitowoc.
She is survived by two daughters: Cher (Ed) VanEss, Whitelaw; Jody (Mike) Walske, Two Rivers; four grandchildren: Sarah (Craig) Litel, Elizabeth Peterman, Mindy Schindler, and Wyatte Walski; nine great grandchildren, one brother and two sisters-in-law: Kenneth and Linda O'Leary, Valders; Caroline O'Leary, Manitowoc; along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilson and Adeline O'Leary; one brother: Thomas O'Leary.
To honor Karen's wishes there will be no funeral services. A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of her cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc at a later date. I can remember Karen from Koenig school in Two Rivers. It is so sad to lose a classmate. RIP, Karen.
