Schmitty was the teddy bear who always made you feel better than you actually did. He knew how to put a smile on your face & even get you to laugh when you just wanted to be left alone. He was a great teacher & took the time to share how he gained the knowledge of what he just showed you. He had a heart that was SO giving........From candy, to baked goods, from stories to little gifts. From our St Nic stockings to random lotto tickets or making a Brillion Meat run or Pine River Dairy Cheese. That man sure knew how to find good food!!
I extend the most sincere condolences to Meg, the TRUE LOVE of his life, His caring sisters & his fun loving Schmitty Brothers. I have been touched by each & everyone of you in the past week with you opened arms. Jim was a wonderful person & it shows by being with his family. I will never forget the stories he told to make me laugh or the nicknames he gave people which couldn't always be called out. The Longhorn Colby cheese that he got me hooked on or the Brillion Brat patties! I think of that man so much throughout the day & I smile as my eyes fill up with tears. He was 1 hell of a great friend to me is missed so much already. I will always have an open chair for you next to me & keep that parking spot for "OLD BLUE"!

My condolences to Jim's family. I worked with Jim for the last 6 years and their was never a dull moment with him. One thing Jim said every time he left was "It's been fun but I gotta go". It's been fun Jim. You will be missed.

My sincere expression of sympathy to Jim's family. I worked with Jim for many years at MTM and he always had a way about himself that made you smile. A good guy.
