I was only made aware of Mike's death a few days ago. His sister Patty told me. Mike was my nephew I was just a few years older then him. The last time I saw Mike was late Jan. 1969. His mom asked me to talk to him about his desire to join the military. so we went to his room and I told him how difficult the Marines were as I had experience with the Corps. I never saw or heard from him again. I am sure he was a good man, a good husband and father to his kids.
I am most sorry for your loss. - Merrill

Mike was a kind and caring person. He was an awesome cook and I enjoyed his food on many occasions. I was at their wedding and I think they were meant to be. He loved Peggy so much. It warmed your heart to see his face light up when he spoke about his children and grandchildren. As a pet parent their was none better!I never heard him speak of Vietnam because I suspect it was too painful. I was always proud of him for his service there. Peggy and family words just cant express my sorrow. He was a very special person. God Bless You.
