One word for me defines Sally C. Miller "enthusiastic". Sally was enthusiastic about her husband ( Harry Miller) her children and her religion. Sally gave of herself enthusiastically to everything she undertook.

When I first joined Sally's husband's law firm ( Miller & Daar) in Beverly Hills with the purpose to open the firms first of several branch offices in Reno, Nevada, Sally became the decorator and chief for the new office. Sally took me to the finest furniture stores in Southern California and insisted I have a long leather couch like her husbands. She was insistent that I needed it to take my afternoon naps which was what all the great attorney's did.

I had the pleasure of having Sally and her husband to be my partners in several renovations of Reno Victorian homes. Sally found the book "Painted Ladies of San Francisco" which we used to determine the color of each home. Sally was the talented decorator of each Victorian. The City of Reno awarded its Outstanfing Beautification in 1980 for our first Victorian remodel at 216 East Liberty.

I left the law firm of Miller & Daar in 1989 and thereafter purchased Sally and Harry's partnership interest in the Victorian home which we moved from Mill Street to Willow Street, However each day I walk into the building, I still recall the design discussions with Sally and see the results like maintaining the original staircase and front doors,

Years ago I dedicated the Victorian to "ideas that become Reality" which is very fitting in describing both Harry and Sally.

My sincere condolences to Sally's family.
