I have known Sally for over 30 years and throughout that time me and my wife shared so many fond memories of the life of Sally. As the years of knowing her passed by, she became very close to my heart like a sister. We often had conversations of marrying into this crazy but loving family called the Grawiens. One of my favorite times with Sally was when I would help her make supper on a Saturday. She would be in her element. Singing away to something like Bon Jovi or Shania Twain and preparing the meal as I assisted her. She had a beautiful voice. Her husband and her kids were her life and oh how she loved them. We were so much a part of their lives. Every birth of their 5 kids. All the milestones, all the accomplishments. We were there soaking up and being a part of this loving mom and her family. In a way these kids were as close as our kids. How lucky and thankful are we to be a part of this.
Sally had a gift of gab. She just loved talking, and when she didn't have anything else to talk about i think she would start over talking about the same thing. lol She was so easy to talk to. Many times without her even knowing she distracted me from something that was bothering me. She would kind of put me at ease.
My heart breaks as I see flashes of her in our life. All those memories............ and to see her kids and David hurting just kills me....... wishing I could take away their pain. Sally was one of my most favorite people and my life was better with her in it. Thank you Sally for all that you have given us.

I met Sally Traas thirty some years ago at the Big Wheel skating rink and we became instant friends. Shortly after I met Dave Grawien at Sheboygan South High School and we became friends. Somewhere along the lines I introduced the two to each other and I knew instantly that they were made for eachother and were going to do great things Together. I am so absolutely heartbroken to learn of Sallys death as she was one of the kindest selfless person I have ever met. Although I have not seen her in over three decades I still have wonderfully memories of the brief but special times we had.
