Holly, Paul Joseph

Paul Joseph Holly, age 96, of Sun City AZ, died peacefully Monday, June 19, 2017 at Sun Valley Lodge in Sun City, AZ.

Paul was born on June 4, 1921 in Two Rivers, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Kolichek) Holly. He attended grade school in Shoto and graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1938. On October 25, 1941, he was married to Eulalia Eunice Gruel in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on January 25, 1999. In 2002, he was married to Betty Klostreich in AZ. Paul was employed by the Mirro Aluminum Co. in Manitowoc for his adult working life. He retired from the Mirro's rolling mill in 1983 as Assistant Superintendent. After retirement, he moved to Sun City, AZ in the winter and Walker, MN in the summer. He was a former member of Holy Innocent's Catholic Church in Manitowoc and a current member of St. Clement's of Rome Catholic Church in Sun City.

Survivors include his wife: Betty Klostreich Holly; two sons and daughters-in-law: Thomas (Mary) Holly; Terence (Claudette) Holly; one daughter and son-in-law: Marilyn (David) Gigure; six grandchildren: Margaret (Scott) Funston and Michael Holly, children of Thomas and Mary; Katherine Holly (Michael Gorman) and their children: Sawyer, Declan and Aspen; Jeffrey (Kristin) Holly and their children: Mack and Josie, children and grandchildren of Terence and Claudette; Jason (Karen) Gigure and their children: Sophia, Henry and Rosa; Hollyann Gigure and her son: Hunter, children and grandchildren of Marilyn and David; one brother and sister-in-law: Eugene (Evelyn) Holly; one brother-in-law: Robert Krause; two step-daughters: Vicky Shelby and Judy Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Lillian Holly; his first wife: Eulalia Holly; one son: James Holly; one brother and sister-in-law: Donald (Marie) Holly; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Ellen (Hilary) Sconcert; Dorothy Krause; one step-son: Steve Dockter.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial of his cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
