AT&T project manager, Army veteran, loved fishing & Corvettes
Michael Allen Klamik, 72, of Holland Township, NJ passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, surrounded by his wife, three daughters, and faithful dog Myles.
Born October 19, 1948 in Perth Amboy, NJ, Mike was a resident of Holland Township, NJ for 42 years. He graduated from John F. Kennedy Memorial High School in Iselin, NJ. Mike served in the US Army in the Infantry Division in Germany, during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a Project Manager at AT&T, for40 years.
Mike was an avid fisherman and enjoyed yearly fishing trips to Canada and time spent fishing locally and at the family lake house in Vermont.
Family was the most important thing to him. He loved taking trips together and spending time with his grandsons. Mike was a Corvette enthusiast and was a member of the Central Jersey Corvette Club. He also served on the Holland Township Parks and Recreation Committee for over 20 years.
Son of the late Michael and Helen (Osolinski) Klamik, Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Sharon (Cahill) Klamik, his three daughters Amanda Puglia and her husband JP of Massapequa Park, NY, Maura Klamik of Pohatcong, NJ, and Tara Hrynkiewicz and her husband David of Scotch Plains, NJ, his sister Kathy Russo, and two grandchildren Landon Puglia and Dillon Hrynkiewicz.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 4-6 PM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. A Celebration of Mike's Life will follow at 6 PM, with Pastor Linda Bullock officiating. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing will be enforced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, payable to CINJ-RUF, CINJ Development Office, PO Box 193, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 or at bit.ly/SupportRUCancer.

To the Klamik Family,

I send my condolences to you on the passing of our fellow Corvette enthusiast and owner, Mike. I had the opportunity to meet and know him at a couple of our Club events and we always had a great time enjoying our cars and the fellowship of our members and families.
May he rest in peace.
