Dorothy Louise Huffer
March 18, 1930 - August 23, 2015
Dorothy Louise Seek Huffer was born March 18, 1930 to Nora Stock and Floyd Seek in Norborne, Missouri. Dorothy had two older brothers Billy and Daniel and two younger brothers Melvin and Floyd Jr. She attended various schools in and around Richmond, Missouri and graduated from high school there. Dorothy married Bobby Don Layman and to this union was born a son Robert Gregory and two daughters Donna Ruth and Linda Joline. The family moved to Alaska and later divorced. Dorothy then met and married Ralph Huffer and a son Jeffery Scott was born. They moved to Indio, CA then to Sacramento, CA then to Springfield, VA. They later moved to Caldwell, Idaho until moving to Las Vegas, NV and then to Grand Junction, CO; from there, on to Boise and then to Nampa. Dorothy worked at various banking institutions where she met Ralph. Dorothy loved all areas of banking and attended various jobs in that field and special schools associated with her work.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Ralph D. Huffer. She is survived by her sons Robert Layman of Phoenix, AZ and Jeffery Huffer of Meridian, ID; daughters Donna Gillies of Salt Lake City, UT, and Linda Cantu of Phoenix, AZ; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 5-8 PM at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM also at Flahiff's. Condolences can be given at www.flahifffuneralchapel.com
