Not sure what to say?

Dear Katherine Thompson Family,
I go way back with Katherine to the 1930s when we both were members of the youth group of the First Baptist Church Caldwell. Her parents and mine got together socially often, so the 2 of us tagged along. Her dad, Henry, and mine worked at the Irrigation Department. I wonder if they still flood the lawns to get them watered? I remember McClure's Bakery well. Getting hot Danish right out of the oven was great. Let's see, there was Dew, Dick and I guess other McClures. Katherine and I exchanged Christmas cards for many years, but time has a way of changing things so we sort of lost track. I lost my wife of almost 60 years in Feb.this year, so changes do happen. I remember often the good times I had with Katherine. God bless you all. Love,

I was so blessed to get to know Katherine. She was most definitely my "favorite"! I always looked forward to our time spent together, especially because I was always greeted with the warmest eyes and smile. I loved her compassion towards everyone around her, her wit and sense of humor, and even the way she'd roll her eyes at me when I told her I was worried about her! She was a true example of Christlike love, and always put others before herself. I think about her all of the time, as well as her wonderful children! It brings me peace to think about her being "home" with Doug.

To the Thompson family,
My family always so enjoyed having the Thompson's as our wonderful neighbors on Wilcomb St. I can still picture very clearly Katherine coming over to our house and visiting with my mom Leone sitting at the kitchen table and having a cup of coffee or tea. The next visit mom would go over to your house. As the youngest of all the Smith and Thompson children I often tagged along. Katherine was so welcoming and kind that I always enjoyed it. I know my mom absolutely treasured their friendship all those years. She was a great lady but I know I certainly don't need to tell you that! I am happy she had a long life that provided you all with much love and many years with your mother and grandmother. I am thinking of you all.

TT,
I'm so sorry about your mom. She was the most gracious, wonderful lady that I have ever met. She always had time for all the kids that seemed to always be there at your house when we were growing up. She is at peace now and back with your dad. God Bless all of you. Take care.

Grandma, you were the best Grandma ever. Those past few nights I stayed with you changed my life forever. Only you and I know what we talked about. We both know how life will now change. You're the type of Grandma people dream of having. I love you so much, I already miss you. Your the best!

Dear Katherine's Family,
We will miss Katherine greatly especially on Friday mornings because we used to meet at her place. At the end of our time together, she always led us in "When we all get to Heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be..."Well, her day was Thursday and we look forward to being reunited with her someday when the Lord calls us home. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed!

I remember your mother very well over the last few years, thought the last three or four I couldn't find her. Your mother along with two other women sang at my mother's wedding reception in 1946, My mother knew yours before she married your dad, and also at the Baptist church in Caldwell. She will be greatly missed by many who knew and loved her.
