I knew Andy in college we were on the same dorm hall freshman year at Wesleyan and we were both swimmers. I regret that I only recently learned of his passing in my college's alumni magazine. After reading his obituary here at the Statesman. I am impressedbut not surprisedby the full and generous life he led. I'm sorry we fell out of touch after college; I would have loved knowing him in the full flower of his life and vocation.

My condolences to all who knew and loved Andy.

I cut Andy's hair for twenty years. It didn't take long before he had won my heart ❤. I loved all of our conversations; he was brilliant and could bring all his knowledge together when discussing politics, religion , movies, you name it. I loved to pick his brain . Sometimes I would get his whole back wet because the shampoo bowls are hugely inadequate and he wouldn't say a word. He really was a teddy bear and I'm going to miss him greatly. Til we meet again Andy . Lisa Cafferty

May family and friends treasure and find comfort in Andy's legacy and the many lives he touched.

I knew Andy since our Boy Scout days(he was much better at merit badges than I was). We were proud members of the Boise Y swim team when we won multiple state championships. The first time I listened to Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited was when Andy brought his brand new copy (vinyl thank you very much) to my house. We were debate partners at Capital High (Andy with the academic side and me speaking at max volume). I will remember him always. John, I am so sorry for your loss.
