Dear Fay and Chuck, a bright light has left us! I have so many beautiful memories of your dad & mom. My heart aches for all of you! Hugs to all!!

I used to go into John's Leather Goods in Weiser with my dad, Nelbert, as a kid. I remember him and his shop there. We all had Ben Tarrell saddles, including, I think, the first child's saddle he made which my dad bought for my sister and me when I was about 6. It was a beauty and Dad kept it until he died at which time EVERYONE wanted that little saddle. I still ride the Ben Terrell Dad bought for me when I was about 20. It has to be at least 40 years old and is still in great shape. Ben was a legend. So sorry for for loss. Annie Legg

We bought Ben's shop in Weiser, and he taught me how to make saddles. We loved to get Ben to talking about making saddles at Hamley's. He was truly a wonderful person. One of our biggest regrets is looking touch with him. Our sympathy to his family.
